Meaning “beautiful lake” in Italian, Bel Lago Vineyard and Winery opened on Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula in 1999. More than 100 grape varieties grow on 37 acres and produce numerous white and red wines. In addition to its wines, Bel Lago also is known for its array of hard apple ciders.
